Fabric and folds

It follows
the folds.

T-shirts, hoodies, totes, crumpled paper. The design follows the folds and hollows Muckup reads in the photo. No displacement map to make.

A fabric mockup places a flat design on cloth in a photo so that it bends with the folds and darkens in the hollows, like a real print on textile.

No map to prepare

The usual method needs a displacement map: a grey copy of the photo, saved apart, applied with a filter, adjusted by hand. In Muckup you choose the Fabric shape and move the Folds slider. The folds are read from the photo itself.

Curved and fabric shapes

  • Curved for surfaces that bend smoothly: a lifting sheet, a sleeve, a bag. The edges snap to the contours of the photo.
  • Fabric for cloth and crumpled paper: the design follows the folds and hollows.

Light levels and ink

Three handles set how much the hollows darken and the folds light up. The Ink slider lets the light brighten dark inks, the way they look on real cotton.

Merch for a whole identity

Tees, totes and caps are often the last items of an identity and the most re-done. Put them in the same project as the cards and the posters, tag the layers, and a new version of the logo reaches all of them.
